stay at home momma needs advice about delivery!

My son will be 2 when this baby is born, im 12 weeks 2 days.im really nervous about the delivery i have to get a c-section due to scoliosis. With my son i was in the hospital 2 nights 3 days. Im a stay at home mom and we are glued to each other, im worried about how he will do when mommy can't hold him or tuck him in at night. We live with my parents and he is really used to them but ive never been away longer than 20 hours. Anyone else ever go through this and how did it go?!

Start talking to him now about the baby coming, let him talk to baby and reassure him. Let him be as involved as he can be...if you talk about it every day for the next six ninths when the time comes he will be ready and anxious. There is exactly 25months between my first and second child so I have been there talking with a one year old about things that are really "over" their head...but they may not fully grasp it, but at least there is a since of preparedness when it comes to the separation. That was the first time I had ever been away from my oldest...my parents kept her for about 5days.
Also, you will still be able to sit with him and cuddle with him. Just ask someone to help him crawl up next to you.
Good luck :)
I hope I was able to encourage you and help you in some way.
