The doctor advised me to not take anything by mouth except stool softeners. She recommended an enema and it worked for me with in 12 hours.
Milk of magnesia worked for me when nothing else did.
Have you tried room temperature apple juice, a milkshake always works on me, or a second cup of coffee, i hope you find relief soon
Takes time for any treatment to work as I found. Once it does work just make sure you keep a high fiber diet after to prevent it from happening again. Eating granola every morning really helps me.
Eat some hard boiled eggs and a can of beans. Go for a walk. I'm sorry your not having relief yet. I had to take Miralax two days in a row before I got relief but it did come. Try colace today and Miralax tomorrow. Should soften and move things along. If nothing works go to er and they will give you an enema. Good luck
I give up. I'm never gonna be able to poop again. Nothing is helping I just need relief
Miralax usually works for me after a couple days. Also eating 2 or 3 granny smith apples will work about the same day. Or I can eat fried eggs and sausage, always gives me a stomach ache within an hour or two.
I didn't go for 9 days so OB had me drink magnesium citrate. It took about 12 hours...also he said to drink 10 oz but I only drank 6 because I was scared since I have history of sensitive tummy.
I couldn't go for 5 days once... ended up eating an entire bag of yogurt covered raisins and within 12 hours I went. It was a little violent (sorry if tmi) but it got the job done lol
Alright ladies. Steaming broccoli right now and sent hubs to store lol.
Miralax always helps me. I usually have relief within a day of taking it.
Yes stool softener don't work over night it takes two days or so your intestines are long.. but with added prune juice, greens probably collard greens. Or broccoli, raisins or stuff like that will help you..
This *****. I gagged a bottle of prune juice down yesterday with softener and nada.. I am about to take ex lax lol
Don't take anymore fiber it will just add to the bulk if you're not going. Take some milk of magnesium. Take it at night and by morning it should help. The good thing it doesn't give you cramps
In my personal experience I've eaten salad, grapes and lots of water. Or you could get fast food if that makes you "sick". Have you ever eaten foods before that make you go?
I did the prune juice... And then took a stool softener daily and it helps especially because I have to take extra iron pills on top of the pre natal vitamin... Take the softener but it might take a day...
