Painful contractions that you can't talk through that are every 5 minutes for at least an hour is what real labor feels like. I'm a labor nurse and you could be in early or latent labor for a week. Don't rush to the hospital if you aren't seriously hurting or you will just be disappointed and sent home. Persistent patients are only annoying and rarely convince practitioners to "pity admit" them.

Honestly I suck at timing contractions . To me they feel back to back but the last time I was at the hospital they were 2 minutes apart . I feel like there isn't a start/end time its just a constant pain .

Yes go even if they send you home just have some sex and then you will be right back up there. But you would rather be safe than deliver at home. And it doesn't sound like they will be sending you home do you know how far away your contractions are?

If I was momma I would be going to L&D asap!!!!! Especially 4 days of being in labor....u could be dialted to far to get an epidural if you were thinking about getting one?? Hope all goes well..& hopefully won't take that long...is your contractions close to together like 5 minutes apart for over an hour?? And your water doesn't have to break in order for u to be in labor either..mine never broke with all 4 of mine because I had a thick sac....never could hurt going to the hospital..
