stomach bug

I am 8 weeks and got the stomach bug today.  I have been very nauseated the past few weeks, but haven't been able to keep anything down today.   Has anyone ever had the stomach bug while pregnant?  If so, did you take anything to help with the vomiting?    I feel like death right now :-(

If u cnt keep anything down go to the hospital. That happen to me, i caught the bui couldnt keep down water. I was spitting up bile. I stood up and almost fainted. My hubby took me and i was severly dehydrated. She used a catheter and barely got any pee to test it. They gave me an IV and some nausea meds in it. Couple hours i was fine.

Yes I am actually sick with the bug on top of having constant nausea from morning sickness.   I have been trying to eat healthier since finding out I was pregnant.   But I have felt awful this pregnancy (my second).   I'm pretty sure I got the bug from a student in my class.

If you mean you are actually sick and its not morning sickness there are medicines safe when pregnant however I think some are only safe second and third trimester.  I would ask your doctor.

A lot of staying sick has to do with your diet and being unable to stomach anything rough, especially when pregnant. Try the BRAT diet for a few days, Bread, Rice, Applesauce, Toast... basically anything bland that won't site hard on your stomach. Nibble on some saltines and drink lots of water. Milk and juice will cause extra mucous to form so I'd stay away from those. If you absolutely have to have soda, sprite is best. I don't like ginger ale but it helps most people.

Your doctor can prescribe you zofran for the morning sickness.  Also B6 and unisom oddly enough can help.  For some people ginger and lemon or chamomile tea can do the trick. Tylenol is always safe too.
