So many people have step b. As long as you know in advance that you have it, it is as simple as going to the hospital as soon as your water breaks abs getting antibiotics in your iv. Most people get an iv anyways so you probably won't even notice anything different.

I was positive. Had my baby 1 month ago. My doctor said I was suppose to get two rounds of antibiotics as soon as my water broke. Unfortunately I was unable to get both. My labor happened so fast I only got one round. So when baby was born she was exposed to the bacteria. She was on antibiotics herself for a week. She also had a bowel movement before delivery so they weren't 100% sure which caused her to get sick. But as long as your doctors know your positive you should be just fine! :)

It's not a big deal cuz u can take antibiotics which will pass on to the baby during delivery.

I'm a ftm and 38+3. I also got a positive for strep b and was told it is nothing to worry about..it's actually quite common..they just put antibiotics in your iv before you deliver.

It's good that you know because they can prevent most complications caused by strep b. I know two women who didn't know, sadly one of them lost their baby after it was born. But she went on to have to healthy babies because of the treatment they gave her. So look at it positively, you're very lucky ladies to have that test available to you.
