sugar in urine??

From my last 3 appts I've been having sugar in urine, I was sent to do the 3 hr glucose test and came back negative, but why would I keep getting sugar in urine? Anyone else the same?

High intake of sugars during pregnancy usually leads to a larger baby.  So if you're delivering naturally lay off the sweets!

With my first I went to the Dr a few times with sugar in my urine. But everything turned out fine. No gestational diabetes or any other problems. Had a very healthy boy

Sugar is your urine means you've been eating too much sugar!  I had pancakes with lots a syrup for breakfast before my midwife came one day and she gave me the lecture about consuming sugar while pregnant.  I only had high sugar that one day so now I eat pancakes on the days she doesn't come.  Haha.  Just lay off the sugars and it will go down.

I've had that the last two times I went to the dr too. The nurse just asked me what I had for breakfast and I said cereal and she was like oh ok, that's it. I'm 40 weeks so I should be having my baby any day. I hope the sugar in the urine thing isn't a big deal! For both of us

During pregnancy a lot of times there's sugar dumped in urine. It doesn't always indicate that there's something wrong. I'm diabetic and my doc told me that even tho my sugars are normal and very controlled that sugar can still leak in the urine because of being pregnant. That it wasn't something to be majorly concerned about unless it's a fairly large amount

I dont really know bc everyone is different, I hope its not. I mean I guess it could be nothing but my doctors sure seemed concerned. I'd look into it more do some research and see what you find then ask them a lot more questions..

I don't know why they aren't more concerned. I had a routine urine test with my first son around 20 weeks and there was sugar in mine as well. They immediately sent me to the er to be put on a iv drip. They said my body wasn't breaking down The sugars and proteins the way it should. After that I was seen once a week to keep a.close eye on my kidney/liver functions.

I'm 28 weeks and I have gained 24lbs already and my doctor said he's not concerned at all. It also goes by how much you weighed before your pregnancy
