Thank all you ladies this has been helpful. I just don't want to sit there for 24 hours lol but I don't think I will as this is my second baby...good luck to all you ladies
Wow forgive the auto correct on my phone and we'll after reading what I wrote I can't even come to terms with what some of those corrections were suppose to be...Thank goodness I won't have to deal with pregnancy brain anymore after Wednesday. ..lol
Depends on how they induce you and how aggressive they do it!
My first I was induced
I was hooked up to the Pitocin at 7 am (dilated at a 2) they broke my water at 730 am...I was fully dilated at 1 PM...I had to wait 1 hour for the doctor to arrive to deliver him (which she walked in barely gowned up and caught him)! Three pushes and he was born at 211 pm.
(Between 7 am and 1 PM I had two bags of Pitocin pumped into...to which another bag another free delivery to help wean me off and help shrink the uterus back down)
Total labor process was 7 hours
I will be induced this Wednesday another terrain for medical reasons...I was already dilated to 3 as of last week (38 weeks) so I'm hoping it will go just as fast this time around too!
Best of luck hin!
Inducing usually speeds things up faster than going naturally. It really depends on how your body responds to the pitocin and also how many kids you've had since labors tend to be shorter with each baby.
I'd bug them maybe they can just break your water and help speed it up?? I'm not sure if they'll do that but it seems like a better way then being induced!!!
When I was induced with my son I was 3cm as well and I was only in labor for 8 hrs (: everyones different tho. Your body can stop dilating when ever or it can be a fast induction like 4 hrs or less.
