Thoughts on inducing labor?

I am officially 40 weeks today. The doctor gave me the go ahead to elect to be induced on Monday if baby doesn't arrive this weekend. I have nothing medically wrong that I need induced but the option was laid out there. He said my body is prepared enough.
I'm 3cm dialated and 50% effaced as of yesterday afternoon.
Just curious what other moms thought about being induced...?

I'll be induced because of my Gestational Diabetes... I am a FTM so I know nothing about it and have no experience..

If you want to have a natural birth it takes the chance down also the contractions come at you fast have you talked to her about a sweep? Oray e try the castor oil you're progressed enough the contraction would still be rough but it's not potocin
