yes it is safe. i have a 3 year old i pick up and carry quite a bit. i asked my doc that same question at the beginning of pregnancy and he said my body was already use to carrying him so if was perfectly safe. 39 wks 4 days today
My daughter was 9 months when I got pregnant with my second!!! I cried my eyes out I felt like i wasn't letting my baby be a baby!! I had a rough pregnancy I couldnt carry her car seat or anuthing heavy I felt terrible like the worst mom in the world!!! But I had a high-risk pregnancy..... you should be fine as long as you don't feel any pain I wouldn't worry good luck
Ok thank you everyone. It's a relief to hear this.
I am 21+4 and have a baby that just turned 8 months and I do everything normal and he's almost 22 lbs already so I pick up him carseat diaper bag and whatever else. And I had a csec with him too.
I was the same and my DD will be a year in two weeks and I'm 15 weeks pregnant. The first trimester is the hardest (especially if you have morning sickness). I didn't, but I get super tired. Thankfully my hubby is a student and can take her most days for a couple hours so I can get a nap. I say don't worry about housework if you can help it, just sleep when your 9 month old naps and let her play on the floor when you lay on the couch.
You'll be fine. Doctors usually say, don't do anything out of the norm physically that you didn't do before the pregnancy. Like if you weren't big on exercising, then pregnancy isn't the time to go hard in the gym, light walking would be best. Well since your body is accustomed to carrying your 9 month old, it should be fine physically on you now that you're pregnant. I'm on my fourth child and all of mine were close in age
