in certain cases you dont have to if your close to your due date get a doctors note and even if they make you go to orientation you shouldn't have to come back till have the baby is like 3 months

Ive also never received it but im a caseworker. A jobs orientation and child support orientation are standard. The state goes after the absent father for the money back. As Geesha said. .. only take it when your desperate... you get 60 months in a lifetime- tops... and that count goes with you across state lines... also, each state has their own state limit... AZ is 24 months, CA is 48 months, depends on where you live... also keep in mind that once you get cash aid you are assigned a 5 year timeframe- what is known as a benefit cap period- and any additional children you have during that time you could never get cash for... Clinton passed the welfade reform act in 1995 to make families accountable and to prevent people who were abusing the system by having baby after baby just to get more money

first time orientation they explain. Then caseworker. And you have to volunteer 30 hours of work until about 33 weeks of pregnancy then your exempt from work for 1 year. But i would suggest only take when you desperately need it. you only get it a total of 5 years. Been that way since Clinton in office

Never received but I was a case manager in Florida.  Orientation is standard for everyone receiving in FL even if you are trying to get exempt from the work requirement.
