terrified what to do

We just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant. Yay. But we have had positive pregnancy test 2 before and then by the time I went to the doctors usually no more than 3 days I was bleeding my normal period. They think I was miscarriage really early on. This time we made it to the doctor and they confirmed I was about 4 weeks along but now I am terrified that I'm gonna lose my baby. And my doctor didn't even tell me anything. Just said congrats your pregnant eat health and take prenatals. I feel like there is so much more I should know or be doing. Can anyone help. I'm 29 and don't want to lose my baby.

I had two early miscarriages before this one with a family history of miscarriages and still births. I'm now 23 weeks. I still worry all the time! For me, I think the prenatal vitamins have really helped. I was so nervous about losing her I went and found one with 1000mcg of folic acid (highest recommended dose without approval). I've been taking it easy and trying to eat healthy. At my last ultrasound they said everything looks good! I hope this pregnancy goes well for you! I know how hard it is not to stress.

Take joy in knowing that every day that passes your pregnancy is stronger and less likely to miscarriage. Congrats!

Unfortunately there isn't anything they can do to stop a miscarriage and most doctors won't until 18 or 20 weeks.  He's about right eat healthy and try not to stress,  I know it's hard especially after having a miscarriage.  Don't lift anything to heavy,  stay away from litter boxes, make sure to heat deli meat/lunch meat (they can carry listeria which can cause miscarriage), most of all try to relax. Terry to get in with an OB and see if they'll run a hormone panel to make sure your levels are where they are suppose to be, for some hormones they can give a hormone pill to keep levels up.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do but try to stay calm and keep yourself busy and healthy. Make sure you drink lots of water and stay on top of those prenatals! You could ask your doctor for a progesterone test if you'd like as I know that is a common reason for early miscarriages, especially if you have had multiple ones. In that case, they can give you supplementation to help your body along. Good luck and try, as hard as it is, to be confident and relaxed!
