strangers' comments

Is this introversion or are people really being invasive? I get tired of complete strangers making comments to me about looking like I'm ready, asking about when the baby is due to start a conversation (but why?), making offhand remarks like "oh thats why you look tired," etc.
What do you all do? I have never been the type to comment on someone's pregnancy so what is it in someone's nature makes them do this? I want to understand better so I'm not so annoyed.

Some of those made me laugh. I have just started to walk away. The short answers have not been getting across because they have brought more questions. Im polite but it gets really old. And the comment about people no longer veiw you as a person but only as pregnant has been very true! I still have interests and want to do stuff. I wish people would want to talk about something else sometimes, even though I'm polite and answer their questions.

I hate the comments at work!!! It's like people view you through the prism of pregnancy and you're no longer a professional or colleague.  You're the pregnant lady. I was told yesterday that there wasn't much point in sending me to training as i waa going on maternity leave soon.  :/

For me, as long as the comments aren't rude or they don't try to touch my belly, I don't mind. It took me nearly 5 years to get pregnant & I'm just so excited that I am and that I'm due in 2 weeks and I can't wait to meet my little man! Its incredible how in love with him I am considering we haven't even met yet!

I was never interested in other womens pregnancy at all before. The other day i went to a friends bbq and there was a woman there who went bonkers when she saw my belly. She was literally begging me to allow her to rub my belly. I did because she put me in an awkward position but i dont get it. It really annoys me

Sometimes it does get annoying. But I try to remind myself that babies are blessings and people are just excited. However, ask but don't touch! Lol

I think people are just fascinated by pregnancy. Its amazing, and sometimes you don't see it often. I'm fascinated by it, and like to know sometime's due date, or how far along they are. I don't touch them though. My husband is more bothered by people touching my belly than I am. My father in law was the first to do that, but I wasn't even showing yet. I just try to be nice about it. Touching their tummy back sounds like fun.

That's the most irritating thing smh.. I decided not to know what I'm having and I haven't picked out a name either since this will be my last..because people always have questions and then hit me with the whys and how comes I always tell them the most outlandish names I can think of...and when they and skin what I'm having I answer, "the last ultrasound showed a baby so I'm hoping it's still a baby"...You'll get looked at crazy BUT it stops nosey people lol

I had another pregnant woman walk up to me and start rubbing my belly asking when I was due. I was like WTF? My bff was with me and I wish I was wearing her shirt that said "hands off the belly". Some people don't respect other people's personal space. I don't know why, but people seem to bother me more than her I'm only 6 weeks further along :-(

Ugh. I hate that. I just give simple answers and don't volunteer any additional info. They kind of get the hint im not feeling chatty without being blatantly rude. But seriously, why does a stranger care when im due? Mind your business folks!

Ya, it's annoying everyday when I go into work and some of the girls I work with say "what's wrong?" "You look really sick today, you must be feeling bad" and I get the "what's wrong" all day long from a couple girls. I'm like "I'm fine!!" Lol I know they're not trying to be annoying but it gets old.

People are crazy and try to get in everyone's business there just trying to talk to someone and everyone has something they want to share or put there 2 cents in about! Lol I like the response that "I'm not pregnant" at 39 wks it shuts them up every time!
