the statistics are crazy! ...

So I was pretty set on getting my tubes tied. But ready up on the statistics of women that get pregnant after tubal ligation is insane!.. I am not sure what to do.. birth control does not work well with my body. . Yes it stops pregnancy from happening but I get every side affect.. weight gain, mood swings.. low sex drive.. I am at a cross road of what to do. I am currently 33 weeks with #2 and already signed my tubal ligation paper work...

Hubby won't do a vasectomy. I had an iud for 6 years will not do it again. I don't want any synthetic hormones in my body again.. I seriously go nuts. Maybe ill wait untill the 6 weeks check up and let things heal and do more research. I know I dont want anymore kids. I wasnt even sure I would have a second.

Look into Essure after the 3 month waiting period it has been shown to be more effective than having your tubes tied.

If you're not comfortable with it then out weigh your options. I signed it with my 3rd and changed my mind the day of, due to being nervous. Now I'm on #4... I'm sticking to it this time around due to my Dr think it's best because I'm always having issues in my pregnancies. Also i have a made up mind this time lol, I'm having it done the same day I deliver! :)

I'm with you lilmomma. I'm gonna do it anyway though. The nurse at my doctor's office suggests you do it 6 weeks after you give birth because of all the healing your uterus is doing during the postpartum period. I'm doing mine the same day I give birth anyway though :-/

Same here. I'm having number 3. I went in for my consult to have mine done and after reading, I figure wth I might as well take my chances with the rhythmic method or something lol. It's crazy.

I'm on number 3 and have signed the paper for one but not sure either. I don't have issues with birth controls though it's just been suggested that another pregnancy isn't a good idea for me. Good luck on your decision.
