Stressing.

So I'm 8 months pregnant and recently quit my job due to health issues. Wednesday my husband lost his job. Hes trying to find a new one but no luck. We have rent, car payments, bills and everything and only 500$ to our name. I've never been in this siuation before and am stressing out! He had an interview today but they told him the position wouldn't start till the first of the year. None of my friends seem to  understand. Idk what to do.

Being fired can get him unemployment as long as the company doesn't contest the investigation he should qualify for benefits.  He should apply for benefits asap so as not to waste time, cuz it can take 4 wks before benefits get paid out.  In the meantime, he should apply like crazy for jobs.  It a all a numbers game.  Goodluck to u guys.

The only reason he shouldn't get unemployment is if he quit. Me and my bf were in this situation recently I haven't worked since July and he lost his job at the beginning of October and just got a job last week and his new job pays more than I could imagine so God is good. He mowed yards and did stuff for people in the mean time

His ex boss recently fired someone else and the guy tried getting unemployment but I think his ex boss fought it and the guy didn't get it. We will try though. Probably try food stamps as well. I'm getting very tired of Ramen noodles...

Our friend let's us use her netflix account thankfully lol. I've been binge watching orange is the new black and greys anatomy. It def takes my concentration away from all the crap going on.

Gah! We had the same issue. He will def get unemployment, if they are jerks they will fight it. Appeal appeal. Worst case scenario, unemployment will come after you later if the company keeps fighting. Our lawyer said just ignore it, it goes away in three years and is really no big deal at all.

He was technically fired from his job for no reason. TN doesn't have to give reasons for firing someone and it was from a family (jerk) owned company. So idk if he can get unemployment since technically he was fired. He worked there for a year and worked his butt off. Always early, worked late without extra pay and this is how his stupid boss thanks him. By firing him right before the holidays and before the baby is due.

We don't live close to any bases. He has a part time job at a fast food place but it's like only 8 hours a week minimum wage. I'm hoping they will give him more hours. We are going to go try and get unemployment tomorrow but I don't know if he will get it or not. I've never dealt with it before so I don't know the process.
