It was probably your mucus plug and it's completely normal. Sometimes you lose it in pieces so don't be alarmed if it happens again.

It typically happens towards the end of pregnancy although I lost mine at 27 weeks and that happens sometimes too. Sometimes it can be kind of tinged with blood so don't be alarmed by that either.

Typically most women lose their mucus plug anywhere from 36-37 weeks on - its said that once you see the bloody show of the mucus plug, your cervix can begin to thin. All the mucus plug is, is a sign that your cervix is wanting to begin to thin. At your next visit you should notify the ob that you think you had some plug loss...but your baby should be very healthy as long as you have a delivery free from complications - once you hit 34 weeks, you are considered full term anyway. Keep an eye out for that bloody show

Mucus plugs regenerate. I've been losing mine in bits for two weeks now and I'm 34w. It doesn't really mean anything except that you're either having cervical changes like dilation and effacement or sex or walking dislodged some of it.
