I have experienced symptoms of carpal tunnel before pregnancy and during the day, now, I am symptom free. I may try wearing the brace to bed and see if that helps. Thanks. I didn't think of that.
With my first pregnancy the falling asleep hands and arms turned into cramping ones and its because I developed carpal tunnel syndrome and I needed to wear braces all day and thru the night but it helped and then went away after giving birth. Ask your doctor if it could be a possibility.
With my second pregnancy my left arm and hand were numb due to how my baby was sitting and I could only lie on my left side. I got no relief until delivery. :( I get it once in awhile with this pregnancy, I've been using pillows and blankets to position myself in hopes to prevent it.
Hmm. That's an idea. I have always been a side sleeper so it may be difficult for me no matter what.
I can't sleep on my side because of this, so I've started using a pillow to prop one side up a little higher than the other and sleep slanted on my back. I find that couches are more comfortable to sleep on because they hold me on my side. Sorry not much help, but good luck!
