Definitely know all the hospitals along the way. If you do go in to labor it's not like they won't reliever you because of insurance you can easily get ahold of your insurance company and explain and I'm sure they will work with you.

Definitely dress and be as comfortable as possible! Loose fitting clothes, comfy shoes, or flip flops. Tons of snacks! Maybe pack yourself a mini cooler lol. Stay hydrated. Stretch whenever you get a chance and of course never pass up a rest stop for a bathroom break lol

And of course mention it to your OB to get feedback and suggestions!

U can't compare taking a trip at 35 weeks to someone who is less the 40 weeks pregnant. I wouldn't do it.

At 35 weeks I would not go on a long trip like that. U can go into delivery at any time. N u won't be near ur doc. If u end up at another hospital just whichever doc on call will have to deliver ur baby. N the insurance may not cover if they r not on their network. Since insure go by state to state. I delivered both my kids at 37 weeks. Besides u r going to be so uncomfortable just sitting in the same position for that long. But mostly because u may go into labor.

I asked my dr about this recently since I will be traveling 3 hrs when im 37 weeks and she said that anytime after 35 weeks they dont recommend going more than an hr away from where you are delivering. But she recommended printing off my records and caring them with you incase something where to happen and the dr you end up seeing can know everything.

I am 26 weeks and I just took a trip to visit my family in Utah. It was a 12hr drive for us. My doctor just told me to know locations of hospitals along the way, just in case. And to stay hydrated and take breaks to walk around and stretch as often as I needed. Usually when we make the trip I am the one with the iron bladder and my stepson and husband are the ones who need frequent breaks. But this time I needed the pit stops as often as they did. Good luck on your trip!
