Rhogam shots and blood type has me confused

so I have to get a rogham shot but kinda confused I have to get to shots one at 28 weeks and one after birth  I was reading that if mine and baby blood mixes and it's different then mine I can get ill at birth is this correct ?

Yes it's very true make sure they give it to you. When I was pregnant with my last lil boy they waited to long to give it to me and now I'm pregnant again and my baby boy has to have blood transfusions every 2 weeks. I see a specialist every week 2 times a week. We drive almost 3 hours. So make sure they give it to you cause if not it can not be corrected. Good luck and God bless

Yes. I had the shot during pregnancy with my son. But since our blood types were the same at birth I didn't need another one.  If the baby's blood type is different you will get another shot after birth.

Yes that's y u get the shots. It protects you and baby just in case your blood mix it won't attack the unknown blood. That's what my doctor explained to me.
