tubes tied vs men getting snip

I have been asked if i want my tubes tied when i go in for my c-section because is our 3rd and last baby. My husband is thinking of having the snip but he isnt overly keen on the idea. I need some opinions on risks for both and which way would you go??

I would personally do both if you really want to be sure you won't have any more children...but lilmomma_uh2 99% effective means that there is 1 pregnancy out of 100...which is actually 3x as many if tubal ligation is 1 out of 300

The risks of women getting their tubes tied is way more than men. For men, theres only mental side effects like "I don't feel like a man" haha. For women the chance of ectopic pregnancy goes up by 80% and that is always fatal for the baby and if it isn't caught in time can also kill a woman.

My brother got snipped and he said he absolutely has zero sex drive anymore. Lol he did say that it was painful for about a week. I pick on him all the time.

Ive heard that the same can happen to women. Personally I dont want to tie my tubes but im not opposed to my husband doing his. Lol we havent had this conversation yet. I just know that after birth im going on a bc and we dont have any plans for another child anytime soon, 2 is plenty to deal with for now.

I was going to get my tubes tied but after doing research and all the statistics its actually a better chance to not get prego again if men get snipped. It is 99% effective.(vasectomy)  1 and 300 woman get pregnant after tubal ligation.

My husband and I are both getting snipped. We want to make sure we don't have another baby. 2 has always been our limit. I'm getting it done after I give birth. We're saving up for his after we buy our house.

My hubby is getting snipped. I heard its like 5min produrcer and takes less than a week to heal.  However he needs to get checked yearly to make sure it didn't grow back.. For tubes tied,  my aunt said she lost her sex drive and in alot of pain and bleed alot

I would both go.for it. I have heard a lot of women on here having their tubes grow back together. My husband has agreed to have the surgery for us when it comes time :)

Get him to get sniped. You went through having the babies. It's only fair that he should share in the joy. For religious beliefs we can not do any permanent birth control.  We believe anytime you have sex you should be open to new life. But if I had a choice he would be the one who stops the kids since I had them.

If you're already getting a c section I would go with tubes tied, it takes the same amount of time to recover as the c section so there isn't any extra time one of you guys are healing. I got my tubes tied during my c section and so far the only thing I've noticed is I've bled a little longer than my friend who had her c section 2 weeks before me has but that could be just because everyone is different. The doctor did tell me another con is that if it doesn't work or reverses itself its harder to fix than if a visectomy reverses itself. So thats another thing to keep in mind

I rather have my tubes tied , man feel like they lose their manliness if they get the snip
