OK so my October Mama's might already be off of the site, but I thought I should post my birth story.
Viviana Claire was born on 10/15/2014 at 16:01, weighing 5lbs 13oz and 18.5 in long. I was induced at 39 weeks due to pregnancy induced hypertension. I was very sick towards the end of my pregnancy and I was miserable. I was in active labor for 24 hours with a Foley bulb and then Pitocin. Viviana's heart rate was dropping with each contraction , so every 2-3 minutes for several hours. I was being monitored very closely and was on oxygen and had to be put into different positions every contraction to try and stabilize her. They actually had to stop contractions at around the 24 hour mark because Vivi's heart could not keep up. Not to scare anyone, my situation was rare. After she stabalized, they started induction via Pitocin again to give my body one more chance at a vaginal delivery. Long story short, the same thing happened and within a half hour I was being put under for an emergency C-Section. I was alone through this entire process as my fiancé works out of town and couldn't make it home. Vivi was delivered and was initially healthy, but the stress from the delivery was too much for her, she spent 3 days in the NICU. We are home and happy and healthy and exhausted lol. It was a terrifying birth story, but I am proud that we made it through and persevered. God was there with us the entire journey.
Thank you all for your support during my pregnancy, it was greatly appreciated. I wish you all the best. :) :)
