You may find it'll still get sore later. I had a belly piercing that I haven't warn in years but my belly button still got sore and super itchy because of the scare tissue stretching :-( I look like I have a regular belly button and a mini one!! Lol

If you look online they have belly button rings designed for pregnant woman they are a super long plastic piece that can stay in even if yyour belly button pops. I took mine out at around 6 months with both my pregnancies and it never closed but I also had the piercing for 10 years. But before i took it out my belly button was hurting me as well and even now that it's out I still sometimes get a stinging sensation in that area..I think it's just the skin stretching out :)
