uk mummy's!

Do uk midwifes check how dilated you are at the end of your pregnancy at your checks ups, what do they actually check when you get to the end? And how do they decided on whether you get to be induced or not?

Im 41 weeks today. I had a sweep when i was 40+4. Didnt work, she booked me in for an induction then and she also booked in another sweep a few days before the induction. The only time i have ever been checked down there is at my first sweep. They automatically book u in to be induced if youve gone over your due date. Doesnt mean youn wont go into labour on your own though! My due date was the 3rd of sept and my induction date is the 16th ill be 41+6. They dont want you going over 2 weeks.

My midwife won't check me until my due date or after. This us usually to do a stretch and sweep. The only time I have been checked prior to this is by a consultant at the hospital for medical reasons. I think they like to do a sweep first and then discuss an induction date if the sweep has not worked. I think it's 12 days they will allow you to go over x
