With both of my girls I only had 2. 1 to confirm and the anatomy scan. And with this one...different ob....other ob died:'(......I am only supposed to get 2 also. Unless medically needed. Which I just had another at my last appointment because dr. couldn't find the hb. I forgot how far I was at that appointment but am 11+6 today. Anyway baby was just hiding:) So hopefully I won't have to pay for that one.

I was only supposed to have one at 20 weeks, but I asked for another at 13 to date the baby.  I think typically insurance won't pay for more than 2 per pregnancy unless they're medically necessary... Like if you were bleeding or something.

They have the 3D/4D ones, but you pay cash for those and you don't need doctor's orders bc they're not medical scans... But around where I live they cost $200 and you have to pay cash, insurance won't cover them.

With two of my pregnancies I had just one, the anatomy scan at about 20wks. With my other I would have just had the one but needed two more to check things. this pregnancy is a different office and I've already had two. One to confirm pregnancy and the anatomy scan.

Wow....they didn't do a gender scan? Where not only you find out the gender but they do measurements and check fir abnormalities? That should have been done around 20wks. My ob office does it at 21wks. They said the baby is more developed and easier to tell the sex.
