My sons name is Rory you don't hear it often and its gender neutral but also not so unique its weird. I had his name planned years before he was born girl or boy it was going to be Rory:).
We're going with Rylan/ryland (girl/boy) ... I've known a male ryland but not very many... And everytime I tell someone her name will be Rylan they say its pretty (pronounced rye-lynn)... I wanted to fund a "lyn" name to honor my grandmothers but not be too on trend... :) good luck..
Reighlynn is a nice name that starts with R
Rufus, Rupert, Russell, Rossa (Irish boys name), Rambo, Rusty, Reginald, Regina, Ruddy,
My husband just came up with Rawburt or Rawburtuh, but I'm pretty sure is joking - I was telling him about the "creative" spellings trend- he now wants to add Ys to his name.

My middle name is Reed. Its more common as a boys name now, but still very unique. Plus you can spell it a lot of ways: Reid, Reede, Reede, etc.
Ryder is cute for a boy, I like Raylee for a girl
