I'm planning and doing everything in my power to go natural!
It sounds like a lot of ladies go au natural however with my first I did epidural and loved every moment of it, plans of doing epidural again with this pregnancy! They have created all this modern technology and medicine and I intend to use it! :)
I had a stadol injection to help me... it helped me a lot, you do feel the contraction but it takes some edge off while you still get to feel whats going on maybe that could work for you
Both my babies were natural.
This is my first child too im dead set on going natural. I know labor pain is like no other but for once in life that's a pain id want to feel and remember
I think you should wait until the day and see how you cope with the pain at the time. I've had 3 natural births so far, 2 were gas and air one was nothing at all. I had decided with baby one to take it as it comes i got to 6cm before asking for gas. With baby 2 i had a home birth and only had the gas while I pushed so last 20mins. I liked being in control so for me epidural was very last resort. :)
I wanted a natural birth first time around, but ended up habing an epidural it doesnt hurt to put it in your birth plan as a last resort! you might be glad you did! im 35 weeks now with my 2nd I want to try the tens machine first but epidural will be tjeir as a possibility!
I had my first daughter natural and planning on doing the same again this time round. Whatever you feel is best for yourself and feel more comfortable with hun
Im in the same situation as you. But from talking to more experienced moms who have gone thru both your recovery time from going natural is far quicker. There is less chance of tearing and you can feel everything that is going on down there. Whereas if you have epidural you can't feel anything. And my mom who had 5 kids said the really intense pain lasts as long as your contraction it eases off between and not to forget that. That its only goin to last as long as your contraction.
I guess we will find out on the day but its worth keeping in mind.
I've had 11 natural births and will likely go that route again. My oldest daughter had her baby with the epidural and loved it. Read a lot of birth stories, watch births on YouTube. ..educate yourself and be open to whatever it takes to get your sweet baby in your arms safe and sound. You'll do great!
I think u should be open to both. My 1st I was dead set on going natural. I got 2 the hospital & was still hanging on to my reserve once they broke my water I begged for the epidural, but by that time things were progressing to fast & it was to late. I had my daughter natural but it was extremely intense.
