I have had numerous different due dates

So I got to have an appointment out at the hospital last night where ill be giving birth.  The midwife measured my uterus and felt I was measuring at 19-20wks. My very first scan I had said I was 5wks which would make me 17wks 5days now but my 2nd scan I had a fortnight after first scan said it was only 6wks which would make me only 16wks 5days. So 3 different dates and I'm trying to decide when to book in for the 20 week scan so I can find out what I'm having - what do you think?  I personally think I'm 18weeks now going by dates we had sex etc

I was told the date can be off by two weeks before or after, so my dr is keeping my original due date.

The dating is based on a 28 day cycle. So you can work out your date roughly from the first day of your last period starting. E.g I'm the 24th sept 2012 for my LMP so I'm due 1st July. I had a 28 day cycle so its easy. If I'd of had a 30 day cycle then my due date would be the 3rd July. My first scan at 12 weeks they measured me as being due the 5th July and at the 20 weeks scan they said the 1st July. I would go with your dates as they can't decide. Early scans are very hard for them to measure accurately as baby is so curled up. They only really take measurements and identify gender at 20 weeks scan so I wouldnt worry if you're a few days out - they're bound to give you a new date at that scan to :-)
