vulvar varicosities(varicose veins)

I was wondering if anyone else suffers from vulvar vsricose veins? I have them starting the size of my pinkie and bigger. Sometimes when I stand after sitting the pain is almost unbearable! I just wanted to know if any of you ladies had themm and what you do to relieve them besides wearing compresion hose. Cause there isnt compresion that high up! And i dont have a girdle that fits right know (I am 34 weeks). Thank you!

i get very jelous when I see other expecting mothers in shorts with beautiful legs. . .my legs look like they belong on a 80+ lady. But my babies are all very much worth it!

I have never got them in pregnancy but my friend is a week behind me on her pregnancy and baby number 5 and she gets them very bad. Especially in the vagina area! She wears compression stockings and underwear. I hear they are horrific and very very painful

I have them really bad too they hurt! I am 29 wks with #4 and they have gotten worse with each one. I just purchased a pantyhose from my toe over my belly from a place called legluxe.com. They are spendy but they have helped so much. They take the pain away in the groin, upper thigh, and ankle where they hurt the most. If you subscribe to the newsletter you can get them for 10% off. They were $58 after discount.  Also, I have heard lemongrass essential oil helps and also cypress essential oil. Another thing, I ice mine st night and it helps with the pain too! Good luck to all of us! Temporary pain for a beautiful package in the end!

My hubbie has them genetically from his family's side, so when I got them, he was relieved. I get them only when I have girls and this is my 3rd girl. They recede after giving birth, but are nasty up until and then turn spidery. Right now, mine burn in hot patches. I have one patch on my upper thigh that's the size of half my hand- super gross! Nothing much you can do since it involves the increase in blood volume- which is good, contrary to how crappy our legs feel! I try and keep mine up when I can. Don't cross your legs! And look out for hemmeroids because it's the same thing, unfortunately.

no you are soo not alone! :) We should still be able to deliver normally, right? They make something called a v2 as well but it looks uncomfortable. . . I have them down both legs and feet. . .My doc told me today that i need to put my feet up. I wanted to laugh because I have a 1, 2, & 3 yr old to take care of!

This is baby number 5 for me and when I first noticed them I was so confused andvthought my husband had been out cheating, lol. However I'm 36 weeks now and haven't been able to find any relief from them. So I try to take it easy and not sit or stand to much at any given time. Also warm and cold compress gives a temporary relief when it really is unbearable.

oh my goodness I thought I was the only one! I posted a similar thing a while ago and no one responded so I thought I was alone.
I have received several suggestions, I dunno really what helps but I am trying all of it.  The vitamins that are good for vein support are vit c thiamin and riboflavin and vit e.  I cant remember at what amount so I will have to get back to you on that one but my midwife said I could take a vit e supplement and eat 1 orange a day eating the whit part in the middle to get the same thing.
I have been trying 2 different kinds of homeopathics - I'm not sure which one works better but they do seem to help - Hamamelis complex and Red Vine (vitis vinifera fluid extract)
I have them all down my left leg and really bad in the vulva like you :(  really ***** - try to put your legs up a lot.  let me know if you find anything else that works!
