first pregnancy

Hi ladies What is the best medicine to take for an yeast infection during pregnancy? I don't have my next doctor visit for another month.

Monistat... won't affect your pregnancy at all.

There have been no studies done to prove that the medication doesn't affect baby
However my dr said canestin 7 day.
Do not take the oral monistat.

I used the walgreens brand and it worked fine for me.  Yeah dont use the oral though.

Cranberry juice is for UTI's, if you drink lots for a yeast infection all the sugar will actually encourage the yeast to grow :) natural approaches include taking probiotics and even putting probiotics up your vagina. I find that natural methods only seem to work if you treat it straight away - otherwise I use canestan creams (5 day) and try to cut out sugar and carbs (especially yeasty bread) for a few days as well

Thank you ladies because this is my first yeast infection as well and it is common during pregnancy. I plan to get something today.
