12 hours passed from my water breaking and stay of contractions.   For something that's supposed to be rare there are quite a few of us who's water broke before labor began. ..

Baby has to be delivered within 24 hours of water breaking our they will do a c section. But yes sometimes your water can break and contractions don't start right away but start soon after. If your water breaks you need to call your dr right away and let them know.

That's not true at all. There at women who's water doesn't break on its own and needs to be broken by the Dr. But if your water breaks on its own there is no reason you wouldn't have contractions (they might not be right away but they will happen)

Everyone is different sometimes waters break and contractions start right away for some nothing happens but if the bag does break baby needs to be born soon or else risk of infection shoots way up
