way less stress

I am struggling with high bloodpressure again. This is my third pregnancy and my last 35weeks. I am so happy I live in Canada cause now my Dr has arranged for a nurse to come to my house three days a week to do my non stress tests and check my bloodpressure. It is way less stressful being able to do all this at home and not having to find childcare for my other boys. Not to mention it is completely free thru government.
Anyway just thinking "out loud"

Yeah we do get a year off every pregnancy if we are working I am a stay at home mom now. The dads can take paid parental leave as well it's not as long but most times the moms just take it. I can only imagine the stress of having to deal with health insurance. It seems so unfair how soon they expect you to go back to work in the US to it would be nice if they changed that.

That is awesome! I have to battle rush hour traffic in one of the largest cities and struggle to get the kids out the door in time so I am not too late.

Wow Canada sounds awesome! I had severe preeclamplsia with my first baby and the gestational hypertension has just started with this one and I'm only 15+6wks! I have a long way to try to get this baby to and a lot of drs appoitnments in that time. Some times my mum can take my son otherwise he has to come with me. Sometimes I think it would just be easier to move into my obs office! Lol

That's great. I'm in the U.S. and have to go the doc every Mon. and Thurs. for my non stress tests and have to make sure I have a sitter for my 7 yr old son. Also, the appointments are never at the same time, some in the morning, some in afternoon etc. so its a little difficult. I was scheduled for 2x a week starting at 32 weeks but just received a letter from my insurance saying that the last 3 sessions will not be covered and I'll have to pay out of pocket :( Canadian healthcare sounds awesome LOL I heard you all get 52 weeks paid maternity leave after having a baby.
