My doctor and every doctor the women in my family has ever gone through has done the four weeks=1 month. Like for example....they will not do a gender ultra sound until you are at the begining of the 5th month which according to the chart posted on here would have been 18 weeks...our doctors say you are not 5 months until 20 weeks...i would say to ask your doctor in your specific city and state. And for the record...my doctors offices all tell the patients at the first ob appointment that women are in fact actually pregnant for 10 months. So like i said...i would ask my doctor what they go by if i were you.
I didn't even know that's how it was broken down for months! Thank you for the info
You can count it two ways.
1. You can count every 4 weeks this is what some women go by because its easy but kind of wrong. Of you count it like this you'll be pregnant for 10 months.
2. You can do the normal pregnancy chart which lasts 9 months. Google image pregnancy week to month chart it will look like this
1-4=1
5-8=2
9-13=3
14-17=4
18-21=5
22-26=6
27-30=7
31-35=8
36-40=9
Count it however you'd like either way you're pregnant for 40 weeks but that chart is what most doctors go by. So you're in your 6th month
U are 5 months and 3 weeks
At 24 weeks u will be 6 months.
Every 4 wks is a new month
