weight calculator right?

Every time I enter my damn weight after an appt it says "excessive" I'm up 11lbs and am 18wks today. I started out at 116 and I'm 5'3 so I could of stood to gain a few anywsys right???? I'm almost halfway there so if by 20wks I'm 13lbs up doubled for 40weeks that's 26lbs!!!! My doctor didn't say anything, and I don't feel "fat" or like I look too big and I eat extremely well besides my spice hot Cheeto addiction. What's the deal MEDHELP!?!

It has done that to me to it goes by how many pounds is normal to gian up to that week of pregnacy along with what u started out at before pregnacy for example a started off at 180 at 21 weeks that's when i found out but Gian 14 pounds in three weeks which was considered excessive since at that those week time frames 2-3 pounds per week is normal but as u put in a new wieght entry in t after a appointment it will calculate total weight gian so far up to your week of pregnancy  you are on ex: with me starting at 180 I gained 14 pounds which brought me up to 194 then I lost three bring my weight back to 191  then i lost  another pound in two weeks putting me at 190 last appointment hence total weight changing from 14 pounds to 11 pounds then to ten if u gain from last weight in it adds that but if u loss it subtracts the difference from last weigh in giving you I new total weight Gian.

I've been at excess for 5 weeks now. Since I hit 20 weeks I can't stop gaining. I'm at week 25 and have gained 16 pounds. I track my weight everyday and its so depressing when the app tells me I'm basically fat! :(

It doesn't really work that way. If you gain 13lbs in your first 20 weeks you're likely to gain at least twice that in the second half. Baby is still incredibly tiny, weighing less than a pound - sure you're also adding placenta and amniotic fluid and blood volume now, but the actual weight of that whole package is very minimal at this point. But between weeks 20 and 40 baby gains 7-8 lbs, placenta gains several more, plus additional blood and fluid... you'll gain a lot more than you think you will, at this rate. There's a wide range for what's considered okay for a total gain, but don't entirely discount what the app suggests.

I dont really let the weight part of this app get to me is just a calculation not nothing to stress about  as long as my doctor dont say anything about my weight any losing or gianing or seems concern about it I don't let it bother me. just was explaining how the weight part calculates what is considered normal weight Gian or not. And using my weight entry's as an example too show how it does the calculating sorry if I confused anyone.

I am at the same thing! 18wk 4days and up 11 lbs. I'm over weight but I think 3 pounds over the suggested isn't all that bad!
As long as you are healthy!

Mines say low and my doctor say I'm under weight but wow I never gained that much as you ladies I didn't think people gained that soon

I think it may be because people tend to gain most of their weight the second half of pregnancy .. I'm 16 weeks and haven't gained any weight at all but I know as soon as I hit 20 weeks I will be consistently gaining which I'm not looking forward to

Even I had the same concern regarding my weight gain. I was 143 lbs before pregnancy and it was going at a steady rate when after 25 weeks (current) I entered in my app as 160 lbs and it says excessive. My doctor said its normal because of the baby bump. So, I think it is fine. I am not concerned with weight now.

Also be careful ladies the weight creeps up on you ... I gained 60 lbs with my first pregnancy and had a really hard time taking it off after delivery and all of that weight was gained between about 5 months and delivery.

My last appointment was at 34 weeks and my next is the fifth of this month but like I stated on other comments I found out at 21 weeks was 180, then three weeks later (@25 weeks) was 194, then loss three pounds in two weeks 191 (@27 weeks), then in two weeks lost a pound 190 (@29 weeks) meant to statein the ccomment I have maintain 190 at every appointment up to this last one I had at 34 weeks pretty sure I will be 190 still at next appointment on the fifth I will be 36 weeks and a few days at it hope I mauntian 190 rest of pregnancy.

I started underweight (98lbs) I gained 8lbs which is good because I was underweight and needed to put on some weight (which I never had luck with till now) and it also says excessive., 7.7 I feel fat. I'm only 10 weeks .idk if I've gained more now.. u.u

Mind u. I just show a little belly like just noticeable. You really can't tell but I Can of course it pooches out. I gained a lil meat everywhere though. Lol. U.u this is my second pregnancy so it's very different from my first. I never showed till my 6th month.

I started overweight, so the app even says that my 23.5 pounds of weight gain is excessive for 36 weeks.  My doc isn't concerned though, and I definitely gained more than that with my other kids, so I'm not stressing out about it.
