weight gain for those already overweight

I am a little over 24 weeks and went to the doctor today. In about 5 weeks I gained 6 lbs but overall I've gained 8 lbs. She told me this was too much and tj try to aim for 15 to 20 lbs over the whole pregnancy. She suggested  walking and I think I will do that. I started out at 214 and am now 222. Any other similar experiences??

I started at 158 which is considered obese as im 5"4 and I'm 26 weeks and gained 25 pounds. I am trying to only gained about 5-10 more if I can keep it at that this is my third son. With my first son I was 120 and I gained about 80' So I was 200 at the end. But I was young and thought I could eat whatever which was way wrong. When I had my second I started at 140 gained 20 but got the flu and lost 30.  I've never breast fed.So I plan on it thus time to help shed the weight like crazy plus this is my last kid So I figure itll take about a year I'll be back to 130-140.

I have only gained 8 lbs so far and i'm 28wks now.  I went 3-4 drs visits without gaining a pound.   Dr told me at some point i have to gain some weight.  then he laughed when i said what for?  Baby is gaining and measuring exactly where you want it to be and i'm losing wieght so it sounds like a win win to me.

I was 218 at the start of my pregnancy now at 38 weeks im 230 my doctor told me I didnt gain enough weight but I disagree
