weight gain

So i went to the doctor three weeks ago and my weight was 186. (i started my pregnancy weighing 166). I'm currently 29 weeks and when i went to the doctor  this morning, I'm weighing 194. Not sure how i gained 8lbs so quickly. Doctor didn't seem concerned but i sure am. Anyone else experience rapid weight gain like this in their last trimester?

i understand completely. I'm currently 32weeks and i started this pregnancy at 155lbs. at my lady appt 2weeks ago i was at 202lbs. so i've gained 45lbs already. My glucose was normal and I've been avoiding fast food and trying to eat healthy but i keep packing on the pounds! I guess I'm just prone to gaining weight during pregnancy. With my 1st child i gained 67lbs so i've got some work to do after baby gets here!

i started out at 138. then went down to 124. and only gained 9 lbs back in my first trimester. I was going to my dr appointment at 30 weeks every 2 weeks and i was gaining 5 lbs every time i went so thats 10 lbs a month. im now 35 weeks and at 161 and im sure its now slowing down any i go to the dr in the morning and im sure its more than 161 but i only do myself a favor and check it at the dr office haha. i dont think im big though. its not like my weight is taking over me.

I can eat super healthy and stay active, and my weight still jumps up like crazy. I have four weeks left and I have decided not to look at the scale anymore.

Yeah. My doctor said my glucose was good. And I'm trying to watch my sodium intake too, but i still swell up. I guess its just a part of pregnancy. :/

Bummer! :( You could be retaining more fluid, and if your doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't be too worried about it! Was your glucose tolerance test normal?? Gestational diabetes could also be a cause for weight gain!

My left ankle/foot swells up throughout the day. In the morning, the swelling goes down. But as the day progresses, it swells right back up. my right foot swells  too at times, but not as bad as my left foot...

I did with my first- I put on several pounds a week for the last few weeks and I had swelling up to my thighs so my doctor said it was fluid retention! :( Are you pretty swollen?
