Everyone and every pregnancy is different. If your doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't be either. I doubt you'll get up to 250, but even if you do, as soon as the pregnancy is over, you can lose the weight. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just continue what you are doing and try to enjoy your pregnancy :)

I lost weight during first trimester had a good amount of morning sickness and was very sensitive to certain smells. I started pregnancy at 200, went down to 196 during first trimester, Im 22 weeks now and am at 210. Since I started out overweight Im worried about gaining to much weight want but baby is doing great and dr says everything is ok with me so far. I dont eat perfect by any means but I try to eat as healthy as I can with some indulgences (usually ice cream), but I did start working out at the gym early in my pregnancy which I think is helping me not gain too fast despite my not perfect eating. As long as dr says you and baby are doing well I would try not to worry.

I will be 38wks tmr. I started at 160 and am now 200. I am all belly, I just started getting swelling this past wk in my hands and feet. My Dr is not worried at all about my weight gain b.c everything is healthy and going perfect. As long as you are doing everything right than do t worry about your weight gain!

I weighed 170 before I got pregnant and I'm 39 weeks now and I'm 250. I still walk and I don't eat horribly. I'm all belly. At first I was thinking about gaining weight but at the end of the day I just decided I can lose the weight once she's here. My Dr says me and the baby are perfectly fine and healthy. She's 7 lbs 12 oz right now and hopefully she will be here soon. good luck!

What about weight loss? My first trimester I lost 10 pounds. I'm having a boy and was told that's normal. My doctor seems to think everything is fine. I'm 17 weeks now. I weighed 160 now I'm at 153. Which is lower than I've been in years. I eat pretty much the same I always have. Does anyone know if this is ok or should I be eating more?

I am only 10 weeks and have gained 10.5 lbs already abs I'm showing quit a bit. I eat fairly healthy and I'm 125 at this point. With my first two I gained later in the pregnancy not this soon but in total between 50/60 with both. I think it just depends on the person and as long as you aren't using pregnancy as a reason to  eat whatever you want which it sounds like you are not then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Healthy baby weight comes of alot faster at the end than the opposite.

I'm 36 weeks and have gained about 38lb. If you are eating nutrient rich foods (lean meat, veggies, fruit), avoiding sugary beverages, limiting "bad" carbs and fried foods, and getting some exercise then I would say you are doing the best you can! What more could be asked of you? You should never "diet" while pregnant, so I say keep doing what you're doing.
