first time mom

So this is my first little one. I'm having nightmares about losing the baby. Any advice on how to get over them or not have them anymore????

Dreams come from what you mostly stress over or overly think through out the day. So try and be positive and think happy thoughts! They're just dreams! I'm sure your baby is fine :)

Also if it helps knowing, weird crazy dreams are very very common during pregnancy. I've read that some researchers think it is your body's subconscious way of dealing with your fears. I had dreams of miscarriages until well into my second trimester, I'm 37 weeks now and baby is just fine. Try not to read into them too much, and stress yourself out more. When I had a really bad one I would talk to my husband about it so I wouldn't have to carry the fear alone.

Thanks. That is most likely what is happening. Over thinking and reading stuff online is a bad combination I realized. Thanks for the help!!

My mother lost her youngest @ 26 weeks so I've always had a fear of miscarriage. I even spotted for almost two weeks, which freaked me out. Once I stopped reading everything online I possibly could and just followed my Dr instructions I felt way better. I'm 21 weeks now and my fears are mostly gone. I think what helped me most was just being overly cautious until I was comfortable. I used to run. I stopped and now I just walk for exercise
