I'm sure their are certain areas that could be avoided that might trigger labor. Her biggest thing is if someone did go into labor early, and there was complications she wouldn't wamt to be held responsible. Its just her standard of practice, but I will say she's very experienced, and works a lot at the hospital, with babies as well for constipation, etc
Sorry lol, Because of it bringing on labor. She said if I was already in labor it would be different to aide in the progression, but as far as to induce labor she wouldn't. But I really just think it just depends on the reflexologists. I'm not wild about induction of any sort, like membranes sweeps and what not, but me personally,I think reflexology would be a great natural way to get things going, but I would wait until I was at least 39 weeks. But that's just me :)
Could I ask why she wouldn't do it in your 3rd trimester?
I know a reflexologist and she said she wouldn't touch me in the 1st or 3rd trimester. My second trimester just ended and I never got around to schedual dangit. Its AMAZING! I'd ask your doctor though, she is sometimes called to the hospital while people are in labor to work on them, but as far as a private session she wouldn't do.
