what contractions feels like?

I don't really know how contractions feel like or how to really time them? Even though I have had two children already I was induced with both of them before contractions even started.

I had rectal contractions, and those were terrible. I would explain the pain as a Charlie horse in my *** every 2 minutes. And if you ever had a Charlie horse you know those are horribly painful! Everyone has contractions differently, so just FYI rectal contractions are a thing, I never heard of them until I was in labor. I was in labor for 34hrs and 7 of them were excruciating pain and ended with a emergency csection. Good luck and I hope you don't get them!

I downloaded an app on my phone to time the contractions with this baby because I have had preterm labor more then once now. Mine start off feeling like period cramps and get worse to what babykingsmomma described. Its just easier for me to hit a start and stop button then having to write it down lol.

Here is my experience and i went natural with all 3 and I will with this one as well. It will start with mild pain in back or stomach- or both... as they grow stronger ur stomach will get tight like the baby turns hard. Then u will have pressure like u have to pee or poo. As they get even more stronger it will feel like a hot knife is being stabbed into certain spots of ur back and stomach. Then u will just feel the urge to push towards the end. How to time them is like this- as soon as u think ur having one write down that time. Then when it stops write down that time. So t will look like this 11:13-11:15=2min... next will be further 11:30-11:33=3min then u time the space in between thr was 15min apart... hope that helps.
