what do you think?

Hey all! Hope this is not tmi. I am 36 weeks pregnant. The past few days I have had a lot of discharge. It is like snot, it has chunks and is not the normal white stuff. Is this the plug they talk about? Does it mean I'm dialating? I go to my doctor Thursday for my checkup and it starts the once a week appointments until I deliver. What do you think it is? Is it normal?

Thanks!

Sounds like your mucus plug. It can be clear, brownish, yellowish, tinged with blood, or mine even had a little green. It means you are starting to soften and dilate especially if it's bloody, but it doesn't mean your necessarily close to labor. Labor could still be several weeks away and it can actually regrow if you aren't really ready.
