Usually its just to reconfirm your due date & make sure he's still growing regularly.

My baby boy was measuring 4 days behind. The technician said it was normal though, she didn't seem concerned at all.

My first two ultrasound appointments the doctors gave me EDDs. Both were different based on measurements. Now 16wks. And they said to stick with my 3rd EDD.

I had my anatomy scan today and my little girl is measuring 2 weeks behind but they said everything seems fine and healthy , I had the contraceptive implant for 3 years and had only had it removed aprox 4 months before I fell pregnant and the doctor said my ovulation might not be back on a regular cycle 100% yet so that could be why the dates are wrong

My lil guy isn't measuring a week behind but he is small. He seems to be healthy and organs are developing like they should. They are just watching to make sure that there isn't a growth restriction due to something with the placenta or cord.
