wholey moley!!! getting induced! new due date at 31wks!!!!

So i was diagnosed with g.d. and among other problems, (but not bed rest thank god) the doc skipped right over two week appointments, amd i now see the doc once a week and get ultrasounds once a week. Mostly to keep track of baby as he already weighs 3lbs 14oz... oh em geee. Oh and because i am on blood thinners she wants a scheduled delivery. Anyone have any input as to if it any harder to be induced early, opposed to dialating on your own? Instead of the due date being jan 26th it is now happening on the 19th as long as all goes well... ftm, input and advice and encouraging words welcome!! :-) (super excited btw) 54 days to go!

I would get a second opinion a lot of doctors push you to have the baby early and c-section and induction because they make more $$$

Im not having a c section. My doc works with a group of doctors. And shes inducing me early and scheduling a delivery because i am on blood thinners. I would be at higher risk for complications if i went in while my blood is thin. So i agree with her decision. I dont think its about money at all honestly

Watch your sugars. You should be testing. I have g d as well im 36 wks as of today.my baby is about 5 to 5.5 lbs. But understand thT could be off up or down a lb or two. These are just estimates. I think you will be just fine hun. Good luck.

I am testing, and i am on a meal plan. All that fun stuff.. Just wondering about being induced! Is it generally more painful? Does it take longer? Is it faster?

I was induced at 38+5 cuz my bag ruptured. I was in labor for 32 hours. They ended up helping me dilate by putting a balloon in my cervix. That got me to 4 cm. Then everything went super fast yen mind later she was out.
