work

Any full time working mom's going back only part time after baby? I work in a professional role so want to do this appropriately: offer enough time for them but not put my position at risk before baby (I want full time status for my maternity leave). In what time frame did u make them aware of this? Thanks for any input :)

That's sort of what i was thinking, that I might change my mind after baby has arrived.  Work actually asked me today what my plans are for maternity leave and return post baby!  I'm only 19 weeks, so seems early to make any decisions still.

Im working full time now and plan on going back part time but could change my mind I wouldn't stress it professional setting or not there is no point in stirring the pot until you know what is going to happen for sure you may go out early you may not you may be tired of staying at home you may love staying at homemothers change their mind all the time on their work status when they first come back to work that's the way I look at it

I'm working full time For as long as I can before giving birth. I'm hoping to not have to work at all once little David is born-but if I end up having o work, I'll be taking a part time, event ng position. I'd rather Save the money we would spend on childcare (which would be more than half of my weekly income) By staying home with him & raising him myself. I'm willing to sacrifice a few evenings to have that experience with my little one.

Im full time now and at 7 months im going to part time. My job was ok with it bc they will cut my pay and im basically still doing the same work but just 20-25hrs... financially it just makes more sense for me to be home than pay a babysitter

My first job was full time, all the way till five months. They canned me, then I went back to work for Petsmart, and only been doing part time. I would be fighting for full time, but the pregnancy is taking more then expected from me, so it works out. It *****, but sometimes you have to do whats healthy for you. I am working till I go into labor if my doctor allows, and after maternity leave, I'm immediately going full time and getting a promotion with the company. I think its just different for everyone, though. Props to you for going full time to the end!! I die after five hours or so. Hahah
