I know how u feel. My husband and I are carriers for congenital adrenal hyperplasia.  Our unborn daughter has a 1 in four chance of having th disorder.  Our 8 year old daughter does have it and it has completely changed our lives. We have adjusted and we learned to deal with the hurdles that came from it. She is on a daily medication and we have been trained on how to treat her with her injections in case of a medical emergency to prevent adrenal failure and ultimately, organ failure. It was the scariest thing when we learned she had it but we worked they it. I am as equally scared for this child I am carrying but I know God will only give us what we can handle. I wish u the best and hope things work out for u and ur baby. :-)

I have minor beta thalassemia. It explained why ive been anemic my whole live. But its not that bad as long as im not anemic due to iron shortage. But any who we had a genetics consult with my bf. He has never been diagnosed anemic so i was positive he didnt have the trait and i was right they did blood testing for him. So my baby girl is okay!

I am a cystic fibrosis carrier. I know it is different, but I was so scared. My husband got tested and he is not a carrier, thank goodness. Don't stress out. Have the father do a blood test and see if he is even a carrier.
