worried

OK so I just moved in this house a month ago,  and I'm noticing things now that I didn't before signing the lease... I am afraid for not only my kids sake but for mine as well.  OK here's the thing for the last month I've notice..... Grass spiders (2), daddy long legs,  1 slug,  loose water fausits (don't know how to it sorry) in bathroom hot water don't come on,  and tonight a wasp nest outside a window that don't look like its close all the way in kids room.... Now I'm not allergic to anything or my kids that I know of but I'm also 15 weeks pregnant...any ideas what I should do to protect us?

Tell the real estate to get a pest inspection because to me it doesnt sound like they did one before you moved in

The house was like that when you moved in.. The landlord is responsible for repairs but nothings that's not necessary.. like you can't move into a house after signing a lease and decide he has to put drawers in.. they are not necessary or a safety concern. Also normal bugs like daddy long leggers are not "pests" they are common in homes and not your landlords responsibility to come kill a spider for you. The wasps nest is also nature and is probably your responsibility... again you can't expect your landlord to come kill bugs for you..

when you look at the lease didn't say whether you were responsible for certain fixtures or if the landlord was responsible? I think if you haven't talked to your landlord to discuss it with him and see if he is willing to do the repairs if he refuses and he is legally responsible for the fixtures then you would have to get Housing Authority involved. I would do whatever I can for the safety of the children & baby. Good luck hope everything works out for you.

I try getting the landlord to put drawers in the kitchen still hasn't happened yet,  even though he just had back sergury, but still it shouldn't take this long,  should it?  Or just find a new place to live?

I am a single mom with limited money.  I receive my son ssi,  just enough to cover rent and utilities, so I have no extra money,  looking for work but nothing yet.... Shouldn't it be the landlord responsibility or mine?  Do I get housing authority involve or no

Insecticide and lots of it. I got two kittens and seem to have fleas. I just noticed today and plan to take them on full force before they get out of control. Good luck..
