I have no idea how to get it up there either! I am so big!!! LOL
It's been recommended before during other pregnancies but it was from the other OB's in the office. And a few women I met while waiting for ultrasounds/appointments, etc. I never took it because I wasn't sure about it then... But, the topic has come up more and more. I am interested in trying it. I'm not doing it nightly. Just enough to start the softening. Sex is the main thing we will be using but as I said before, having two small toddlers, sex isn't always an option. My second labor went fast, but I'm just wanting a little softening for my cervix in case I need to be induced. It will help more than some realize. My first baby, my cervix was starting to get swollen because I wasn't softened enough.
Im just curious why you didnt you ask the doctor about epo at yout dr. Appointment yesturday..did he recommend taking iy orally or vaginally. I wouldn't do anything that wasn't recommended my my physician. It's too late in your pregnancy to take any risks. Relax and let nature take its course. Your precious baby will be here before you know it.
Pretty much! That's what I did!
I've read that it helps soften the cervix. It says to insert 2 500mg capsules in your vagina at bedtime. And I was told you can find them in the vitamin aisle. My only question is how would you get it up there high enough? Lol
When I used it I just did vaginally. I didn't poke holes because I read your body is so warm it'll dissolve. I've been reading a lot that women use it to soften the cervix but it also helps from tearing. When I used it I was already 90% efface and 3 cm dilated. it didn't speed things up. But, my baby was 9 lbs 2oz and I didn't tear at all. With my 1st baby he was only 6lbs 12oz and I tore I needed 3 stitches.
