I took the class and I still wasn't nervous. I was 24 at the time. Too excited. Nothing can prepare you for the pain. I was told how painful it us but you really don't know til its ur turn. Has nothing to do with age. A ftm is a ftm. Not being nervous of the pain has nothing to do with parenting

Well,  best wishes that this will all go as you imagine it will,  momtobe.

I do think you need to take childbirth classes because it doesn't seem like you are completely prepared.

Best wishes -

I wasn't nervous until I was in the hospital hooked up. It just wasn't real for me until then. You're fine.

Momtobe,  I have to say it's not typical not to be worried about the pain.  I've taught birthing classes,  and I have to say,  the younger the mom,  the less aware they are about the pain of giving birth.  And also the less aware they are of the profound commitment raising a child is.  The younger the mom,  the more clueless in every area.  You don't say how old you are.

I  taught a class  of  8 students,  12 year old pregnant girls  who sit there bored when I talk about contractions.  No clue whatsoever about what they were in for.

With my first I wasn't nervous at all I was just like you so eager to meet my princess, plus I didn't know what to expect! I kinda wish now that I didn't know what to expect. However I do so I can honestly  say that I'm nervous. Still eager to meet my second princess but nervous about the pain!

That's what I wanted to do. But didn't work out for me. The pain was way more than I could have imagined. Had back pain. Ended up with emergency csection. Don't freak out though! Plenty of ppl do it natural. I had bad diet which gave me high blood pressure.
