I took it starting at week 7 with both babies and no issues.
I took it in my second trimester. My dr said it's been linked to birth defects if taken in the first trimester so he waited to n prescribe it.
Zofran is fine. I tooke it until 26 weeks with my first and 28 weeks with this one. It is just fine and helps with nausea. I've had the pill form and liquid that they've put in my I've when I was admitted for severe dehydration from nausea.
Does unisom help with sleeping?
There are "possible side effects" from any drug but it is classified as a safe to use in pregnancy drug in the drug guide. They wouldn't prescribe it as much as they do if there was a serious Worry. I've been taking it this whe time and all sonograms have turned up fine- and in a few weeks I expect to see a healthy perfect baby girl. If you're sick enough it's prescribed then you should take it. I only take it at the start of feeling sick - I don't take it every 6 hours as it says. But it's your call if you don't want to don't. But it is perfectly safe to use.
My first resort was b6+unisom, advised from doc. Helped most of the time, but in extremes 8took phenergan. Was also given zofran but it can cause severe constipation. If you don't feel safe taking it, don't. Do some research & find out what you feel comfortable taking.
I was so insanely sick & tried Everything before I was finally so weak & dehydrated my mom forced me to the doctor, they almost admitted me I was so bad but I didn't want to stay & decided to try the darn pills. They worked part of the time & I used them sparingly but I had to keep some stuff down cuz I was just losing weight & so run down!
I was prescribed that as well and i never took it i sucked it up and i have nausea really really bad i couldnt get out of the bathroom.throwing up. I wouldnt take it try natural things like a little band they sell at target... ginger... crackers... i would never forgive myself if my baby was born with something because of a medicine i had the option of not taking :/
