Could I potentially be pregnant?

Hi everyone! First time posting and hoping for a bit of advice.

So I was on the depot injection for nine months, my last injection was due on May the 6th. My ex and I decided that I would come off my contraception because we wanted to try for children, we were very happy together, had been apart from the occasional hiccup our entire relationship, etc... so I agreed and didn't get my next injection, with the thought that it would take 4+ months for it to be out of my system and to be fertile again.

Within a couple of weeks, I had bleeding, cramps, all the signs of periods, which I've been told is normal, it doesn't necessarily mean your period is back. We had unprotected sex several times from then till we split up at the start of July, one of these times being about less than a week before we split.

The split was very unexpected... he became physically aggressive with me and the police were called and he was arrested. The behaviour was not something I ever expected but safe to say immediately ended the relationship and I've had nothing to do with him since.

On Jun 8th I had a very seriously heavy period, really intense cramps, the works. It lasted for about four days. Since then, I have had no spotting, no bleeding, nothing. I have noticed over the past two weeks I have been feeling extremely fatigued, beyond exhausted, sleeping more so now than I ever have done in my life before. I've always been a severe insomniac, even a ten minute nap through the day would leave me unable to sleep till the next morning, whereas recently I've been sleeping for 10-14hours a night and being so exhausted the next day that I've been having a 4hour "nap" and still sleeping soundly later that day. Also I have been having very intense, vivid dreams.

I have also been struggling with VERY intense irritation and irrational bouts of anger and mood swings, as well as being nearly constantly hungry (whereas for the past couple of months I've eaten next to nought) and feeling sick very often, especially after eating. Alongside these occasional mild but uncomfortable cramping.

Now, I've never came off the depot before, this was my first time with it. It's important to factor in that I'm prescribed diazapam for severe anxiety and suffer from depression, both of which have gotten worse since splitting with my ex because it resulted in me losing my job, my flat and my dogs (I still have one but she is going to have to go soon as well, which is destroying me). I don't take diazapam regularly, only as and when I would need it, so I would say 2.5mg every few days with once taking 5mg.

I unfortunately have no money for a test at the moment so my option would be to sit in the walk-in-centre for god knows how many hours to get a pregnancy test done.

I just want to know if anyone else coming off depot has had these issues before and if I'm just being completely insane or should be getting to the walk in centre ASAP. Safe to say I'm driving myself crazy with the idea of having fallen pregnant (as I would not be keeping it).

Any and all advice, previous experiences, etc... would be really welcomed as I'm in a proper state at the moment!

Thank you all for reading.

If you had sex after your June 8th period, it is possible that you could have gotten pregnant if you had sex after that- however, it very well could be the stress and trauma that you are going through that is causing all these symptoms.  Along with that, going off those hormones can send you on a bit of a roller coaster too- with period timing and weird symptoms for a bit.  Your best bet is to get to a clinic and get a test, many offer free testing and consultations.  I know of some that even would extend some help to you with dealing with all the other stresses you are going through- I don't know what area you live in, but there may be some like that you can find.  Let us know how you are doing!
