Confused and Lost 4 Answers
Had sex right when my period was done which was wed most likely and then the Monday following I woke up at 5:00 am feeling STRONGLY like the flu when suddenly had a full on seizure. I was even waiting when I felt like the flu to throw up cause I knew I wanted to but then after the seizure my feeling like the flu was gone. Note the day before which was some where in the night but not to late like 8-9 had a 4 oz cup of champange that was it no drugs or anymore alcohal and always in the past on special occasions a little bit wouldn't do nothing to me. Its like just a sample amount that I would drink occasionally I went to emergency, they checked my brain, urine test for pregnancy, blood count, organs checked and nothing was found. I wonder if this could be explained with pregnancy. It is the only thing that makes sense!! urghhhhhh!! Had no seizures like that since, its crazy if am not pregnant cause I been feeling my body differently (not strong difference but something has changed about me since that Monday and can't put my finger on it. With horomones changing once the little guy meets the egg am wondering if the alchoal made it go nuts making me result in feeling really ill having a seizure and then feeling basicly fine after?
If you had sex last Wednesday then you most likely wouldn't be feeling pregnancy symptoms.
And as far as I know, with or without drinking alcohol, just being pregnant won't cause seizures, and the change in hormones shouldn't cause a seizure either.

sounds a little bit strange. You won't have hormones changes that quickly which is why you have to wait until your next cycle starts to test. Even then sometimest they are not always found. Have you ever had a seizure before?
I know my brother was epileptic and they could only tell he has a seizure when he was actually having it on a brain scan thingy. He would be completely fine after it. I would ask for more testing if I were you.

Myself and my brother both have seizure disorder. He cannot drink alcohol at all or he will have one and his are the grand mal type. My seizures are more like the absence seizures. Alcohol doesn't affect me.(I don't drink anymore anyway since 1999) it possible that's what caused it. Good luck.
I keep saying that before the seizure I had flu like symptoms that were so strong and I was waiting by the toilet to actually vomit but I think what happened was the blood flow was so strong it went to my head, well thats what the sensation felt like and ain't u suppose to be unconscious when you have a seizure? I can remember shaking and how my brain was like in a dream like state. After I felt exhausted and no signs of a flu anymore, went to E.R. My cat scan on brain was fine, everything was fine, only a slight low in potassium mine was 3.3 when the least is 3.5 and the alcohal which is the only alchoal I had last night was only 4 oz. champange which I had way more before. I don't mean to say that pregnancy caused the seizure. Now its early but my period is 1 or 2 days late, have a bluish looking cervix and mucus that is clear/little white on my cervix, had my boyfriend look. So now that their is more info Can anyone tell me what they know or think and this time I will be nice, just irritated with myself nobody else, didn't mean to offend anyone. FYI the seizure and waiting to throw up was the first Monday after Christmas last month. They did drug test EVERYTHING to check for toxins or infections and pregnancy but even if I was it would be to early for a urine test. So am stuck and I hope my period doesn't come cause I will go crazy thinking why do I have all these symptoms leading me to think pregnancy. Have to wait till Monday to get a appointment in next week if it don't show this weekend.
if your period is late then you can take a urine test, with you first urine in the am... but like the prev post say if it was that quick after your suspecting you "concieved" i dont think it would have anything to do with the seizure... my guess would be the glass of champaine, or just happend to be that day that you had a seizure... like the prev post said your hormones wouldnt be elevated at that time as they dont start to increase till after implantation and yes that is why most woman dont get a positive urine test till after there period is due... so yes to knwo for sure take a preg test...
The alchoal the night before the seizure happened and it was 5 something the next day it happened.
oh and not all seizure make you unconcious, my friends daughter just had one and she just was staring off in space not responding to her talking to her but when the cat jumped on the bed beside her she started petting the cat... it was very scary, there are lots of types of seizures!
The reason why most ppl dont know one is gonna happen is because they CANT predict them... like i said it could have just been the day it was gonna happen... what makes you thing something specific caused it?
Okay forget the seizure, I have been having symptoms of pregnancy and 2 days late, I check my cervix and it is bluish and has mucus on it, I am not on birth control pills or breast feeding so it could be pregnancy, all I find on it is that it is a sign of pregnancy. I am going nuts now cause of it cause I been trying and with this sign its making me anxious, happy and making me remind myself to think am not before I know so that when I go to the doctor and they tell me am not, it won't be to harsh on me. If you knew me personally in life you would know if I thought I was before I was told for sure, I would be soooooooooo crushed. So yea that is why am trying to get answers/advice before I go to the doctor to help my mind relax.
If they tell me I am you have NO IDEA how happy I will be, cause of what happened as a child, thought I wouldn't be able to concieve even though I am as healthy as a horse as they say. I am already tingly inside/slight happy thinking about what if I TRULY am pregnant! This is why I try to think that am not so if it happens to be a Not pregnant then it won't crush me as hard then if I was over happy before knowing I was pregnant and find out am not. See what I mean? Sounds crazy but thats my way of dealing with something like this before I even know. Thanks for your advice by the way!
The most anyone can say is that it's possible. The cervix when pregnant is not always blue, and that in itself can be caused from different things. Symptoms DO NOT mean you're pregnant. All 'pregnancy' symptoms can be mimicked by everyday life as well as underlying problems. You wouldn't have symptoms due to pregnancy less than a week after the act occurred. For pregnancy symptoms to start you have to have been ovulating (which few women will do at the end of their cycle) and had implantation occur. A female will usually ovulate 14 days BEFORE her next period, so unless your cycles are extremely short it wouldn't be likely. It's important when TTC you do not look for symptoms, because you'll obsess over it and turn everything into a pregnancy related symptom.
you can just take a at home preg test, you dont have to wait for the Dr to test... like i said you can test anytime after your period is late, just use your first morning pee or when your urine is more concentrated... but take it one step at a time, it sounds like you really have your hopes up and not all signs and symptoms are a for sure thing... but good luck and ill cross my fingers!

Nothing is wrong with me by the way, don't take medications that would turn my cervix blue with mucus on it and its closed. I don't breast feed or take birth control pills and never have. So yea am guessing pregnancy, am not getting my hopes up like I said before cause I know if its not pregnancy I will be disappointed if I did get my hopes up before I knew anything for sure. I am gassy by the way and urinating a lot. Not saying I am but I researched and researched and yes it all points to it. Just wanted to talk to people until I get a chance to find out this week, nothing I can do until Monday.
You sound to me like you are trying to convince yourself your pregnant... Not saying you aren't but if you aren't going to get your hopes up, why the insistent attitude that all these 'symptoms' HAVE to be pregnancy related. People are giving you good advice but all you are doing is brushing it off and saying 'nope.... Pregnancy!' Consider what others have said and go from there. Maybe you are pregnant.... But you weren't going to get your hopes up just in case remember? Just saying...
Honestly me and my fiance have been trying to concieve, so I want to be pregnant and if I am I would like to know asap that is why am so anxious and looking for answers while at the same time not trying to get my hopes to high. The reason to know in such a hurry is cause I want to get the best nutrition going as soon as possible so that my baby if I am pregnant has a good chance of being healthy. Right now been on prenatal vitamins just in case I got pregnant this month but want to know what else to do if I am.
I'm sorry but you can't have pregnancy symptoms the day after. It takes longer then that. I think you are trying to convince yourself that you are so you think you have symptoms of pregnancy. take a test or talk to a dr. becuase right now it just sounds like it's just something that you are trying to get somone to agree that you maybe pregnant but we are all saying the same things.
See on here there are a crazy amount of ladies asking if they are prego because of symptoms... and there is no way we can say that they are or not from these symptoms as Clysta said "symptoms can be mimicked by everyday life as well as underlying problems" its not that we are saying your not in anyway we both said its possible, but we cant say you are and the Chadwick's Sign is on the possible signs of pregancy (bluish tinge to the vagina and cervix) and is also seen occasionally with impending menstruation... so its not a guarantee, its not even on the probable list as there are other causes
I'm unclear why you say 'real doctor' advice points to pregnancy. Have you spoken to your doctor and told you that you sound pregnant?

Not saying this is the case cause its prob not lol.. But my friend went through this exact thing 2 months ago and found out she had a bad std! ... Give it a few weeks and take a test.. Buy as the girls have said you simply cant get symptoms that quickly.. But its nt impossible I supose.. Did the doctor test you when you went to A and E ?
ummmm no its not cause after had the seizure went to the E.R. and their was NO infections. lol I only been with one partner for over 3 years and he is to busy to have another besides me so yea and honestly not sure what caused me to feel the flu so strongly, didn't even get the chance to puke wheen I had the seizure and felt fine after. The doctors even couldn't give me answers, they looked at my strangely too, not making it up either cause my boyfriend was right there and so were his family when they saw me on the bathroom floor exhausted.
