If your family has a history of getting pregnant on birth control then maybe use a condom or wait to have sex until you are ready to get pregnant, even if it is not on purpose.
You can always get pregnant while on bc but the chance are VERY unlikely. I had that for 3 years and didn't once end up pregnant. I'd say your fine.
I don't know what to tell u other than wait and take a test. Wait about 4 weeks to take the test any earlier and u may get a false negative. I am 17 as well but hey if it happens it happens. Wishing you luck on not being pregnant :)
